    Task manager opens painfully slowly

I have upgraded my HP pavilion with windows 7 to Windows 8 by buying the license for it online. When I try to open the task manager it takes its own sweet time to open it. Even when the main Window opens it takes ages for things to show up there. Anybody else had this problem?

Re: Task manager opens painfully slowly

    Hi.................,

You simply mean to say that system is too slow.
I liked the way you expressed your view.

---> System will be slow if its RAM is not more than 2 GB.
---> Its ROM should also be more than that of Windows 7
---> Format the each drive after you convert it to Windows 8.
---> After that store only important information.

** Do not let virus to enter in the system.
** Have a secured antivirus in the system.

    Thanks

Re: Task manager opens painfully slowly

The speed of the OS depends upon the RAM, PROCESSOR and motherboard and its cache.
Defective installation, incomplete installation, and virus infection are also responsible for slow pace of execution of windows.

Use the diek management tool like disk defragmenter to manage space and file structure,
Check the system for virus infection and clean if found,
There is an option called Troubleshoot, use it to troubleshoot system files, the utility will search through the system files and sort out problems. This can solve Task Manager problem.

As the installation was an upgrade there might have some issues which were pending,
Most of the time Clean Installation of Next OS , here Windows8 , shows better performance.

    Hello Dear Friend ..

    Kindly follow the below procedure

Open the Home screen first of all

Then you need to go to the " Windows Defender " option

Then you must Disable it from the Control Panel

After that you must Reboot it

So after this you just go to the " Re-Enabling " option

    Then you quit

    Again start opening the process

After all this it will work fine

Re: Task manager opens painfully slowly

    HI There,
Your Task manager is opening slow because of the reason that your RAM is less and the amount of RAM required for doing more stuff is not available.

SO here is what you can do:-
    1) You Should stop some of the background process running on your computer, like- Bluetooth, any waste toolbar application, Adobe update, and other updates informer.
By stopping them to run, your computer will have more amount of RAM saved for other works and your computer will work efficiently and more likely more faster.

    2) You should keep less number of start-ups at the booting, disabling them will lead to a faster boot and more likely faster working of PC.

After doing this above steps you should also "Defrag" your PC.
For "Disk Defragment" follow the steps below:-
    i) Go to search option in the "Start Menu".
ii) type "Disk Defragment" and then click on the application comes.

iii) Select the drive you want to defrage, i.e "C:/" first. and click on Optimize.

By doing this your computer will really work faster than before i guarantee you.

Re: Task manager opens painfully slowly

I just registered here to point out that this is NOT a RAM issue. Or because of a problem that the "computer is too slow" because that's just bull.

Task Manager is slow and it can be found all over the internet. Ever since Windows 8, the Task Manager opens very slowly and doesn't respond instantly.. It's a known issue. Please don't give advice for something you have no idea about.

okay my dear, you didnt tell anything about your system's configuration.
After reading your problem one thing is very clear, i.e., your system's configuration is too low.
To solve this problem you need to upgrade your system's hardware like RAM and PROCESSOR.
and also it is preferable to have 32 Bit OS in your system..

So what you need to do is upgrade your hardware first, then go for OS upgradation...

    happy to assist you
